Après les nombreux films, livres et séries des dernières décennies, l’image de la reine Marie-Antoinette a beaucoup changé. L’épouse malheureuse de Louis XVI, tristement célèbre pour être passée sous la guillotine révolutionnaire, apparaît maintenant comme une personne plus complexe. On découvre qu’il y avait plus que les choses superficielles et les comportements frivoles qui ont fait sa réputation et ont contribué à sa fin tragique.
After the numerous films, books, and series of recent decades, the image of Queen Marie-Antoinette has changed considerably. The ill-fated wife of Louis XVI, infamous for her execution by guillotine during the French Revolution, now appears as a more complex figure. We are discovering that there was more to her than the superficialities and frivolous behavior that made her reputation and contributed to her tragic end.
