Le 5 mai 1862, les troupes françaises débarquent à Puebla, au Mexique, pleines de confiance et déterminées à vaincre l'armée mexicaine. Fortes d'un entraînement supérieur et d'effectifs plus importants, elles devraient rapidement contrôler la région et, à terme, le pays tout entier. Mais… il y a un mais. Les soldats mexicains connaissent parfaitement le terrain et n'abandonneraient leur patrie pour rien au monde. En seulement trois heures, ils repoussent courageusement les envahisseurs, infligeant aux Français une défaite qu'ils auront bien du mal à avaler…
May 5, 1862, the French troops arrive in Puebla, Mexico, full of confidence and determination to defeat the Mexican army. Boasting superior training and numbers, they should soon control the region and, ultimately, the entire nation. But… there is a but. The Mexican soldiers know the terrain intimately, and for nothing in the world would they abandon their homeland. In just three hours, they courageously repelled the invaders, leaving the French with a taste of defeat that they would find hard to swallow…
