Salut à tou.te.s,
Brigitte Bardot nous a quittés hier, le 28 décembre. Et ce nom, Brigitte Bardot, est bien plus qu'une personne. À l'instar de Marilyn Monroe ou Marlon Brando, il est devenu un mythe, le mythe BB. Icône d'une génération de jeunes en quête de liberté : au cinéma, avec la Nouvelle Vague (notamment « Le Mépris » de Godard), en musique, avec des artistes et partenaires comme Serge Gainsbourg, dans la mode, etc. Par la suite, elle est devenue, grâce à son image, une figure emblématique de la cause animale, qu'elle défendait encore jusqu'à aujourd'hui.
Brigitte Bardot passed away yesterday, December 28th. And that name, Brigitte Bardot, is much more than just a person. Like Marylin Monroe or Marlon Brando, it's become a myth, the BB myth. Icon of a generation of young people in search of freedom: in cinema, along the French New Wave (i.e.: Godard's "Le Mépris"), in music, with artists/partners such as Serge Gainsbourg, in fashion, etc. Using her brand, she later became the leading figure in animal welfare to this day.
