En 1917, un tournant artistique majeur s’opère. Marcel Duchamp expose des objets ordinaires dans des galeries et des musées, les qualifiant d’« art ». Mais peut-on vraiment parler d’art ? Plus d’un siècle plus tard, la question reste étonnamment actuelle. Revenons sur l’origine de cette démarche et sur l’héritage qu’elle a laissé dans l’art conceptuel.
In 1917, a major artistic turning point occurred. Marcel Duchamp exhibited ordinary objects in galleries and museums, calling them "art." But can we truly call it art? More than a century later, the question remains surprisingly relevant. Let's revisit the origins of this approach and the legacy it left in conceptual art.
