There will be no session on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Sessions will resume on Sunday, September 21, 2025, with our discussion on Carmen.
In the meantime, I’m happy to announce our upcoming trip to Provence in May 2026. Last May’s journey was such a pleasure—an enjoyable way to discover the South of France (many thanks again to the participants and for their wonderful testimonials on the website!)—that I’ve decided to renew the experience next year.
You’ll find all the details about our trip here: https://www.frenchconversationgroup.com/provence.
But for now, let’s return to Andalusia with the fiery Carmen:
Who hasn't heard the song "L'amour est un oiseau rebelle"? 🎵🦅 -
Who hasn't heard the song "L'amour est un oiseau rebelle" ("Love is a Rebel Bird") and found themselves humming away? A melody so memorable that it's even been used in countless advertisements. Georges Bizet's opera Carmen is a fiery, slightly mad, and downright dangerous love story. Between an overly infatuated soldier and a free-spirited bohemian, passion inevitably ends... in tragedy!
