Prepare the popcorn, it's movie time -
Salut à tou.te.s,
This is the story of Momo, a Jewish teenager in Paris, whose parents are completely absent. He soon finds a new father figure in the local grocer, Monsieur Ibrahim, an older Muslim man, full of wisdom and teachings that we could all benefit from. — We've read the original book by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt in our book club, now let's all watch the film adaptation (prior to the conversations) and discuss the story together in the group. Luckily, someone uploaded it to Youtube: Monsieur Ibrahim et les fleurs du Coran.
Related episode: Brigitte Bardot (played by Isabelle Adjani in the movie)
