"Paris Fashion Week" or "Semaine de la mode de Paris"? Being part of the Big Four cities in fashion (along with New York, London and Milan), Paris has chosen the international option. They prefer to call it Fashion Week for the sake of continuity. But it wasn't easy. As the mother nation of "haute couture", some have been quite reluctant to not use the French term.
